They both would have lasted longer had it not been for Fred Berry and his outrageous demands for more money.

I liked this show much better when Fred Berry(Rerun)left the show. Rerun was annoying.

Well Saved by the Bell: The New Class ran longer than the original Saved by the Bell by 3 years.

I never cared for Rerun. Fred Barry should have cooled it with the monetary demands and ridden the wave while it lasted for him.

Rerun character was better in the original version .Didn't care for him in the new one

I've been watching reruns of the second season without ReRun and the show being better without him is blasphemy! Rerun was better on the old show but still provided decent comic relief during the first season. When Rerun left, the only funny person was Shirley, Raj and Dewayne became lame and the storylines were like "Who cares about this"! It got so bad that they casted Martin Lawrence and Ken Sagoes as a fake Dewayne and Rerun type duo!

I don't think it's blasphemous at all that What's Happening Now was fine without Rerun, cause most of us had gotten used to Fred Berry's absence since the original series. And at that point you didn't need a dimwitted fat guy, they were adults. Dwayne was still searching for self-confidence, and Raj was the up-and-coming writer.

Maurice (Martin Lawrence) & Darryl (Ken Sagoes) weren't even close to a Rerun and Dewayne. Would Dewayne try and to turn Rob's Place into a nightclub? I don't recall Darryl as a skilled locker trying to raid the Thomas' fridge.
