We Are Still Here : the townie waitress (spoilers)

the townie waitress (spoilers)

ok it's end of shift of her crappy job in her home town where she's loved all her life. her boss tells her to answer the doorand BLAMO! shot dead. I was like, what the f did he just shoot her? why on earth?

it seemed a totally random and weird thing.

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

I came here hoping someone could explain that part to me.

I was waiting to find what massive secret there was about the guy simply being in town. It was like he HAD to kill her just because she saw his face, but then they never went anywhere with that.

It seems completely unnecessary. Maybe they cut a scene that explained it more.

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

Just finished watching it and came on here for this very subject. Very strange that he would just kill her in cold blood. That part of the movie didn't make any sense whatsoever. I'm assuming it took place in 1979 because the last slaughter was in 1949 they kept saying "every thirty years". And nobody had cell phones. lol.

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

I like the atmosphere and the setting a lot, but this film has a lot of unanswered questions.

Poorly Lived and Poorly Died, Poorly Buried and No One Cried

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

came here looking for answers to this too!

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

I was wondering this as well..

She was never part of the house?

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

Same question.
I figure the actress couldn't complete her scenes and they needed a way to write her out.
Otherwise it makes absolutely no sense.
Complete WTF scene.

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

The only thing I can figure is he needed to keep the meeting a secret and if she was there hanging around she'd asj questions or wonder why they were being let in after hours to talk to the main lady. So he just blasted her.

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

I have no idea why he shot her. I guess it was to keep the town secret? Didn't get it at all.

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

Like how he killed his wife(she warned them) he may have thought the waitress warned them and she had to be punished or something. or she scared him

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

I think the guy is just a psychotic killer. He has been killing people for years so what is one girl who made him wait outside an extra few seconds to him? Nothing.

Forever Royal

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

A real wtf moment. I was like huh

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

Agreed. I wondered why he shot her and they never explained it. I guess they can just kill people and get away with it there, no questions asked? But why did he shot her? It was like he did it just to make an impression. He could have broken a bottle to get the same affect that he meant business. So much potential and so many unanswered questions about this movie.

Re: the townie waitress (spoilers)

Immediately after the shooting, the bartender apologized to him for "sending the new girl" to answer the door. She wasn't a local, and perhaps he even mistook her for May (Lisa Marie).
