But she was much prettier than people think she was when she was young, as most only know the pics of the "older" Queen Victoria.

She had a certain prettiness when she was young, but even then had a receding chin and protuberant eyes. She was petite, slender and delicate as a young queen, but nine successive pregnancies took their toll over the years. Drawings and paintings flattered her far more than photographs, but she never looked anything like Jenna Coleman. Bear in mind that this is a dramatization, not a documentary. Just enjoy it as entertainment.

Almost every young woman has a certain youthful beauty. Anyway, they want people to watch the show. An attractive actress to play Victoria is mandatory.

Why not just relax and watch the show? Victoria's looks aren't that tmportant, really.

Maybe she was. Considering your eloquent and well though out argument is probably using today's standards of beauty. And considering how standards of beauty have changed over the decades, it's not for us how to judge her beauty when she was younger.

The real queen Victoria ate like a horse after her pregnancies were done, so be glad we're seeing the young version, lol.

Albert wasn't at all handsome, but it's Victoria's looks that get critiqued.

To be fair, through the entire course of human history, the women who were as pretty or prettier than Jenna C. could be counted on one hand, with a few digits left over. She's a singular beauty.
