what i can't get over is this chick's terrible, fake "british" accent.

OMG i was just going to make a post about this. Like she lives in california and her father and grandmother don't have accents. She isn't fooling anyone. Idk how her family can take her seriously when she talks like that. I wonder if her father has ever said anything? Lol

i was ready to give her the benefit of the doubt and see if they mentioned anything about her growing up in england or something, but no, it's clearly put on. and what makes it worse is she's not very good at it! it keeps fading in and out. in fact, her voice-over accent is much different than the one she speaks on with on camera!

I started watching the episode like 10 minutes in so I thought maybe i missed that she was from England or somewhere else but what a freaking phony stupid girl. Talking like that and complaining to anyone who will listen how "bad" your skin is. She's desperate for attention and needs serious therapy.

Where did that accent come from? And why did her family not say anything about it?

I wondered about the accent, too. When she spoke to the camera it was very pronounced and in conversations it wasn't as strong. I thought maybe she was from The Cayman Islands or something. Maybe her mom had an accent-they didn't show her.

devine is the boyfriend, marcus is the guy with the obsession. i agree with you though that he must have body dysmorphic disorder, or some kind of issue.

what i find hilarious is that he keeps saying he's doing these things for his partner when CLEARLY he's doing it for himself. he needs to stop deluding himself.

And Chanel? Wow. I thought she maybe spent some time in South Africa or some other southern African country until I heard her go in and out of her accent. She's a fruit cake. She and Marcus both need to invest in therapy. They are both very, very sick.

Omg I just came on here to see if anyone else had a problem with her weird accent..wtf is it? And when I saw the title for the episode I was expecting people in their early 30s trying to stay young,not some 19 year old chock who already looks to be in her late 30s. She's very pretty she doesn't need to try and look younger, it's just dumb. And the guy looks like he should be on the E! show Botched. His whole face looks fake and it's sad because he could probably be a good looking guy if he was natural!

I think the gay story is fake. After he kept slapping his boyfriend, he'd kind of snicker. That or he was trying to induce some type of angry hate sex.

I thought that it was fake also. I was thinking the whole time that they were trying to get Marcus publicity to hopefully start a reality show or something in entertainment. What shocked me was that fact they the sugar daddies would pay him for these long trips and Devine would actually put up with him being gone in the first place.

Her accent was completely fake. I have a good ear for accents, and not only did her accent change throughout the episode, but she had a normal 'general' american accent when talking to her grandmother and father. I stopped and rewound a few scenes where it was just her and her family and she had no accent. At the dinner scene towards the beginning of the episode she had a slight accent, otherwise she had none when her family was around. You could tell when she was with her boyfriend fixing her car that he thought her accent / pigs blood thing was too funny. He looked like he was going to burst out laughing every time she talked. Also, notice how when she uses her accent she is very calm, subdued, monotoned? When you, fellow IMDB commenters try to talk in a fake accent, don't you talk very monotoned / one dimensional? When people talk in their normal voice they show a wide array of emotions which changes the pitch and inflection of the actions. She showed none of that. So she was either on meds / high, or faking it! Hell, in a few scenes especially with the animal blood she looked like she was going to burst out laughing at her own ridiculousness.

Lmaooo yes i was thinking the same dam thing! She wasn't talking like that with her family. She was deff a weirdo

The GirlI mean..I wish people realized that when you try to look young you end up looking older, she certainly was not a bad looking girl but very dollar store looking. And that accent ooooh boy. At first I was likeuhh South African?, English? One English parent and one American accent which equals kind of a weird accent but no, hearing her relatives I literally said FORREAL!!!??? what a loon bag!!

His face was vomit, his lips, his knock off 90s kid style. He and fake accent loonbag both need serious therapy, although she made a positive change in the end both of them still need help. Blaming his boyfriend for wanting to stay young was disturbing. He looked like that dude that wants to look like the Ken doll. Hideous.

At last but not least, his fight with his boyfriend had to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen on True Life.
