Re: Best Irish movie since In Bruge…

Not as good as In Bruges but definitely a good laugh. Great to see familiar parts of Cork turn up on the big screen.

Re: Best Irish movie since In Bruge…

Yeah, it was a light comedy about 2 dopey misguided teens, but a decent and entertaining watch.

Re: Best Irish movie since In Bruge…

It's not as funny or as great as people are making out. For some reason, I don't find scummy people considerably amusing.

Re: Best Irish movie since In Bruge…

In Bruges isn't an Irish movie.
Its British and American that just happens to star two Irish actors.

Re: Best Irish movie since In Bruge…

LOL - Shut up.

Written and directed by an Irishman.

Stars two Irish actors.

It's an Irish movie.

Martin McDonagh is English

Re: Best Irish movie since In Bruge…

Yeah sure he is. Both his parents are from Ireland and he carries Irish citizenship.

He's Irish.

Re: Best Irish movie since In Bruge…

Right

Well anyway that's now how you determine where a film comes from. It's about the money and the production company and in in Bruges case that's US and British and filmed in Belgium so no it's not an Irish film.
