That the fact that Kai is back means that they'll ask him to take off the sleeping spell from Elena? Thus basically giving the chance that Elena will wake up without Bonnie turning into a vampire or whatever?

That's is mentioned in the preview shown at the end of the episode. Kia told Damon he would wake up Elena if he doesn't kill him.

However the big question is are we sure we can trust Kai?
