Soi Cowboy : Best film at Cannes 2008

I was present at the Cannes premiere for this film also. Perhaps four people walked out, from a 'complet' capacity crowd of over 1000. I will not say that the film was greeted with unanimous praise (nor unanimous dislike), but then neither was Colossal Youth, the best film at Cannes in 2006, nor Brown Bunny in 2003, L'Humanite in '99 or L'Aventura in 1960. Some people simply have no taste. This is business as usual.

THE GREAT ECSTASY OF ROBERT CARMICHAEL was one of the most sophomoric, inane and down right ugly films I have ever seen..i can't believe someone even funded this film
