Seems to be clickbait *beep* to me. Especially given the same articles claim Weatherly is going to return.

It probably is clickbait. The same thing is happening with Criminal Minds. There have been articles stating that CM has been renewed for a 13th season (it hasn't yet) and that Thomas Gibson might return to help ratings. Other articles around when Thomas was fired said Shemar Moore would return since Thomas was gone. Another lie.

According to Matt Rouch no he isn'tI suspect that the trash magazines have been trolling the message boards or have had readers post stuff that had wished or speculated that Mark Harmon was quitting the show.

There are around five or six "news" sites (I use that term loosely) that "report" on NCIS. Very little of what they report is actually true and if they do have any legit news, its typically taken from a real site (TV Line, TV Guide, etc) and more often than not, taken out of context.

I read an article about the proliferation of fake news stories (like the one that led to that idiot taking a gun into a pizza place) and how it is making people loads of money through clicks and ads.

These 'news' sites could be something like that. So don't fall for the clickbait headlines and hopefully they'll go away.
