Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Did their characters even interact in American Hustle? Cooper wasn't in Joy very much so I don't really understand how you can be tired of it.

Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks worked together multiple times and didn't get any hate. Double standards much?
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
So what did you think of Serena?
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
People actually like Meg Ryan?
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Ryan and Hanks worked together twice and the movies were 5 years apart from each other. This is the fourth Lawrence and Cooper movie in just 3 years. Not a fair comparison. Lawrence and Cooper are starring in too many movies together in such a short amount of time.
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
I didn't realize there was a judge for them being in too many movies together. Your honor, what is the quota that two friends are allowed to work together on projects?

Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Bradley Coopers role really wasn't that big in this movie. I expected there to be some sort of romance between them, but was pleasantly surprised when it didn't go in that direction.
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
everyone in this thread is avoiding the elephant in the room
obviously, Jennifer and Bradley are having sex
They have the power to get casted in movies together, so they can have sex between takes

Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Or maybe David O. Russell just likes to work with both of them on his movies?
They only made one movie together that he didn't direct :S

Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
I know I know.this is kind of unprecedentedwhy doesn't Russell work with other people? What actors would continuously work with the same director? How can you stretch your artistic wings and grow if you're stuck with the same people all the time..I consider it a lack of confidence all around (even though I like all three of them)
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Isn't Tim Burton just like this with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter?
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Yes, but bringing them up is too good an argument against the op
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
and leo with scorsese

Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Harvey Keitel, Joe Pesci, etc
Paul Thomas Anderson and Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore, John C. Reilly, Luis Guzman, etc
Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman, Samuel L Jackson
Coen Brothers and Frances McDormand, John Goodman, George Clooney, Josh Brolin, etc
Steve McQueen and Michael Fassbender
Wes Anderson and Bill Murray, Anjelica Huston, Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Jason Schwartzman
Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune
Werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski
I could go on all day, but the point is a LOT of great directors do it. It makes a lot of sense. If they did good work together and got along well doing it, why wouldn't they work together again?

Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Exactly. Do people think David Russel is sitting there with Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper like, wow we work well together, I never want to work with you again? That makes no sense! If he has fun working with them, he's going to want to keep working with them, the argument that actors shouldn't work with the same director again or together again is so silly
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Granted, but at least those movies you listed had a sense of variance to themlike they don't feel repetitious. These movies that David O. Russell and Co. are doing feel like the last one done again and again and again. Case and point, I'm watching "Joy" right now and it feels like I'm watching recycled material from either "American Hustle" or "Silver Linings Playbook". It's like nothing's really changedthey're just playing the same characters from those other films I just mentioned.
Re: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper again?
Robert Deniro was also in American Hustle. Guess they are the new Hollywood Couple du jour as Brad and Jolina called it quitsville du jour
