Jonathan Creek : Question about Daemon's Roost.
Re: Question about Daemon's Roost.
By realising the handyman wasnt the friends husband, as he'd been assuming.
Re: Question about Daemon's Roost.
Why would he assume that? Was there a line of dialogue that said the friend's husband was a handyman that I missed?

Re: Question about Daemon's Roost.
There was a line at the beginning where she talked to Polly that her husband took a job there a few days ago. It's to let us all assume that her husband was the handyman whereas in fact he was the taxi driver. Jonathan didn't realize that until he saw the photo and realize that the handyman could be phony.
Re: Question about Daemon's Roost.
Ah, OK. Thanks! I really need to pay more attention to dialogue in shows, haha!

Re: Question about Daemon's Roost.
Also, we tend to assume that the black man must be the husband of the black woman, so it plays on our generally preconceived notions.
