Jane the Virgin : Losing interest?
Re: Losing interest?
Me too.. the last episodes were so boring that I had a hard time focusing nothing cool happening
Re: Losing interest?
Unfortunately yes I am losing interest which is a shame b/c I couldn't wait to watch each week, now its like "whatever". They seem to be running out of story lines now. I don't even care for Xo's new or should I say old love interest; I think he will end up breaking her heart again, Michael should've started his own Private Investigation company (just my opinion), sick of Jane's obsessiveness over EVERYTHING I'm sick of Petra (glad she's badass again) and her twin sister story line. Basically yeah its getting old.
Re: Losing interest?
Yeah, I think they did run out of storylines. I guess there's a reason why telenovelas usually only run for a limited time.
Re: Losing interest?
Telenovelas do get extended sometimes if they're really popular, but that only adds more eps to a single season. The absolute max. for them is 1 year of screen-time.
Re: Losing interest?
Was just thinking that. I think I may remove it from the DVR. Maybe pick it up when the season is on Netflix. It's just not interesting anymore.
Re: Losing interest?
It's on Netflix Canada and I find the show a lot more enjoyable when you can binge it. I remember losing interest when I watched it on TV.

Re: Losing interest?
Eh, I never liked the over-the-top telenovela plots anyway. The cast on this show does an excellent job of just portraying the beautiful nuances of daily life. I loved Jane and Michael's squabbling, and the tension between Alba and Xo when Jane left, and Darci's insecurities in her fledgeling relationship with Rogelio.
Re: Losing interest?
You said it, I really have lost interest since she married Michael
Re: Losing interest?
I actually stopped watching earlier this season. I came back to check the board after I read about Michael.
I left because I got bored with the Michael/Jane pairing. I was never a big fan of the two together, although I did enjoy the characters separately. They just felt toosugary. Or perfect. Someone on another thread described them as puppy love, and that fits. Sure, there were some wacky telenovella twists that kept them apart for a while, but between the two of them in their relationship, it was sunshine and roses. Frankly he felt more like the gay best friend half the time. Rafael/Jane had some tension, some sparks. Something to keep it interesting.
I'm actually going to DVR the next episode, see where they take things from here. Not sure if I'll become a regular viewer again. Will see how it goes after next week.
