House of the Dragon : Poll: Laenors final fate?

Laenors final fate?

We know there was a plot to have him flee to Essos with his gayboi lover, but… are we expected that at no point he would ever return? Will we ever see an update on him, find out that perhaps he is living the good life in Essos, or that he died fighting as a mercenary in a war in a foreign land?

In my opinion, it's clear. Daemon actually approached his gay lover with the plot to kill him, and I believe that's what he really did. The dude probably slit his throat and dumped him the sea after they left Kings Landing at some point before arriving in Essos. It makes the most sense, as Daemon clearly wanted him gone, and I believe the entire plot of his escape was simply to placate Rhaenerys, making her believe he escaped and would never return.

Since we never know the final fate of Laenor from the books, it's possible he could return at some point in the show version of the story. Seems unlikely he would stay away forever, since he's going to eventually hear about his family problems, maybe he will return as a dragon rider to exact some revenge for the murder of his "sons" etc. Or at least we may get some kind of small scene showing an update on what he's up to, or about his death.

So, what do you think was his actual fate?

Re: Laenors final fate?

Idk. HOTD has embraced the Gay Agenda enough where I’d expect him to get a happy ending. Er, no pun.

He may end up rowing for a few seasons and then showing up like Gendry.

Re: Laenors final fate?

lol ****ing gendry

That should have been like an hour long trip at best.

Re: Laenors final fate?

Maybe this will be like a running gag in GOTverse shows.

Wasn’t leanor rowing to an actual ship tho? He’s prob fine assuming the ship was friendly. Probably is Essos being so gay.

Re: Laenors final fate?

iirc, it was more like a small viking long boat. Gendry was basically floating on a tiny raft, paddling like crazy and getting nowhere.

Re: Laenors final fate?

Lmao I also instantly had a Gendry in his boat thought.😂

Re: Laenors final fate?

That's book version, show deviates from that with fake duel and escape plot. What I'm asking is what really happened to him on the show.

Re: Laenors final fate?

Hard to tell. Daemon does seem to be the type to instantly take out his opposition, but he has shown restraint too as he got older.

Re: Laenors final fate?

I've been reading the book and it looks like he will return posing as his own bastard son to become a dragonrider on his old dragon, if you can believe that!

Re: Laenors final fate?

How very god-like. Returning as one's own bastard son. 😂

Re: Laenors final fate?

Ignoring the fact that he'll be like 40-50 years old pretending to be a teenager, and that laenor was certified gay as hell.
