Gordon MacRae : How tall was Gordon MacRae

I have often wondered what height Gordon MacRae was. I would think he was about 5ft. 8ins. and he had a stocky build. Does anyone know the answer. I know he made "On Moonlight Bay" and "By The Light of the Silvery Moon" with Doris Day and she was 5ft. 7ins. but I cannot remember the height difference between them in these films. He had a glorious voice, one of the best I have ever heard and "Oklahoma" and "Carousel" were wonderful movies. I rece2000ntly bought the 50th Anniversary 2 disc set of "Carousel".

Actually, one internet poster has him at 5'8", but I won't vouch for the accuracy.

According to his Warner Brothers studio biography in 1949, "He is five feet eleven inches tall and weighes 175 pounds but appears slighter than these figures would indicate."
