That hairpiece he wore that Stephanie accidentally clipped was not very convincing. It would’ve made more sense if Jodie Sweetin clipped John’s real hair, followed by him getting it cut backstage. Do sitcoms not have on-set barbers, as opposed to hairstylists? Or was it a matter of time constraints?

Because they decided to write it into the story. They could have just had someone say "hey, Jessie, nice haircut" and that would have been it.
