Foreign Student : Great Quote at the end of the movie

Great Quote at the end of the movie

I saw this movie on HBO back in 1996, and I really liked it. There is a great quote at the end of the movie in which the older frenchmen laments about throwing away a diamond in a pile of coal (something like that). Anyway, if anyone can give me an exact quote of that line I would appreciate it. I loved it.

Re: Great Quote at the end of the movie

I find myself standing on a mountain of glass, looking for the diamonds I threw away. I'm watching it now and he JUST said it, so that's close to accurate.

Re: Great Quote at the end of the movie

oh know something terrible has happend honey, she's begin to read, she's been reading! she freaks out just because the girl on that show that was mentally challenged was and i "stupid" by the frenchman. That is my most favorite part in the whole movie besides her having to go to a mental institution anyway did she is there a sequel because that was a good movie. And what did the Great Gatsby have to do with it?
