She simply returns the girl home? No police at the house when she drops the girl off??no immediate search for the child..was this supposed to be a dream or something?.
Her punishment for kidnapping and assault is a slap in the face?

They probably did call the police. Connor just gave her a slap and probably went home and claimed he didn't see anyone because she could easily tell his wife and ruin his little world.

I think you're right Daisy: Connor would probably have called the police but then lied to them; not only wasting police time but also leaving his wife sick with worry that some scumbag would try to target her daughter again.

If they had called the police the whole street would have been closed and police would have been manning it and any cars leaving the area would have been searched. I would say Connor knew straight away what had happened so probably had to confess to the wife and convince her not to call police.

Police don't do anything for 24 hours they would have probably taken down a statement and had one car on look out but they can't go into full investigation unless the persons been missing for 24 hours which is ridiculous!

What country doesn't do anything for 24 hours when a child is missing? In the US the police presence is immediate plus Amber alerts go out to all media, tv & radio as well as road signs in some areas. It's adults that you must wait 24 hours for the police to begin actively searching and that is overlooked in the case of suspected mental incapacity or foul play.

Very true but she had been missing a few hours by then so they would'nt have been 100 per cent certain the older girl had took her, it would have been a huge gamble.

She pissed on his carpet? how did he explain that to his wife? And wouldn't that implicate him anyway? Sooner or later the wife is going to put two and two together (soiled carpet, kidnapped daughter)?
