Fifty Shades Darker : I'm not the only who thinks this…

But articles are coming out about the movie predictions and reviews on the soundtrack. Let me make it clear, I was always curious to see how this franchise played out. I was hoping that the movies did much better than the books because let's be honest, the FS books make Mein Kampf tolerable. But come on! FSoG sucked, it was horrible. I was hoping FSD might be better than FSoG, but it looks like the sequel isn't getting better. Two examples:

FSOG was forecasted to make $45 million on opening weekend, but ended up making $85 million. All these early numbers are just a guesswork. I don't think Darker will do as well as FSOG overall, but I wouldn't be surprised if it still, unfortunately, comes out ahead on opening weekend, among the other two main rivals. There's no accounting for bad taste and an open calendar.

Very true. But I think that it still won't beat The Lego Batman movie. FSoG had the advantage to open during Valentine's/Presidents day weekend. Also, The Lego movie (2014) surprised a lot of people when it surpassed its prediction by massive numbers. They are predicting the same outcome for The Lego Batman movie. By the way, it's getting great reviews as is John Wick 2.

theaters aren't that full where i live for the lego batman movie, to the point on thursday night i can show up and still get a pretty good seat in the theater, whereas if i order a ticket for a thursday night showing of FSD right now, i wouldn't be able to get a seat. It's COMPLETELY sold out. i think that it might as well come out number one

No way any R rated movie can beat a PG Lego Batman movie opening the same daytwo completely different audiences

I agree but you'd be surprised. This weekend has something for everyone at least.
