Days of Our Lives : The capture of Stefano- Wednesday's episode SPOILERS
Re: The capture of Stefano- Wednesday's episode SPOILERS
You got that right. I was frustrated and disappointed. More than that I was, how can I describe it, aghast at the lameness of this so called payoff. Failure!@!! I think it was one of the worst of their blunders EVER. Don't say you captured him without even showing it. They could have done so much better even if the actor had already died (but he was alive when they shot this). We realize he was not well enough to be in any scenes (yet they are going to show him tomorrow according to spoilers). They should have used a scene from their vault. Anything, even a profile or a closeup of his facebut they showed nothing and so it fell flat!

I haven't watched yet but waitthey just SAID he was captured??? Nothing was shown???
Wow. And they wonder why rating are crap. What an epic failure and missed opportunity.

Yes. That's right. The cliffhanger was a MASSIVE failure. I was like Whaaat?

So disappointing!!! This whole storyline has been awful - all that has happened is everyone standing around talking all the time. So much drama yet Steve and Kayla are planning a wedding. FFS.

My thoughts exactly. And there is no real feeling that they are anywhere else but on the same sound stage as Salem. They should have just left the story where Hope and Rafe hid the body in that building and the building was demolished with the body never being found. All this time and what a fizzle. It like lighting a firework on a firework and no sparks or booms.
ZING!

The sets were a huge problem for me too. The ball was at St. Luke's with some minor modifications, and they barely did anything to make the police station in Europe look any different from Salem's.
Re: The capture of Stefano- Wednesday's episode SPOILERS
It was really badly shot and edited. You could tell the stand-in for Stefano actor wasn't accustomed to being on camera. When he first appeared at the entrance, ready to enter the room, he hesitated for a moment, as though waiting for the director to cue him to enter. I'm sure we wil get a quick close-up of Mascolo in Thursday's episode, but I am guessing it will be brief with minimal dialogue. I just hope they film it without a lot of abrupt and awkward cuts so as to give Joe a decent send-off.

Yes disappointed but after seeing today, NO!
An intellectual carrot , the mind boggles

Well seeing him today didn't feel good. Knowing the man was sick at the time, couldn't speak, and died not long after. Frankly I cringed hearing Steve saying the Phoenix would never rise again, and then Anna saying how pathetic and weak he looked. I know he was in character, but still, I found it disturbing.
I like the way he originally went out. With Hope shooting him. He was full of life and energy in that scene. That was a great scene.
The Prague adventure is a fail with me. If they really wanted Hope free I wish they could have come with with another solution. They whole thing was pretty boring.
I was glad to see the memorial at the end of Joe Mascolo. Glad the show did that for him and the fans.
yOU aMUSE mE!

Yeah, the actor looked so weak and when Steve said that I was so sad. I know they didn't know he was going to die, but still.
Re: The capture of Stefano- Wednesday's episode SPOILERS
Stefano's send-off last January was perfect. Even his appearances as a ghost was great. Hope apologized to him and promised Stefano she would look after Chad, and than he disappeared. A fitting conclusion.
I understand how tempting it must have been to bring him back, but Stefano didn't even talk. Joe Mascolo was too ill.
And though it's cool to think Stefano's still alive out there somewhere, it just makes it even more sad, because we know we'll never see him again.
The only way we'd see him is a recast, which would be a disservice. There's nobody who could replace Joe.
