Dallas : Was Ken Kercheval being written out of it?

It seemed that way in the final season.
I think the scriptwriters should have explained more why Cliff had become so evil. Dementia? Did something happen to re-ignite the feund after the original show ended in 1991? Well, I guess we will never know.

I think Cidre said that Cliff might be back if the show were renewed for season 4, but she pretty much hinted he would stay in prison and that the focus would be on Pamela vs. the Ewings.

I always liked Kercheval regardless. Too bad the series got cancelled.

They ruined Cliff and made him an unredeemable monster. Blowing up a platform with people standing on it is bad enough but with your pregnant daughter also standing on it is evil.

It was certainly too much. I couldn't believe it when I saw that.
