Leo is already super established and did his blockbusters in the late 90s. So he can do whatever he wants now.

Ruffalo and Scarlett both do great indie films and Marvel trash. No reason Brie Larson can't make great movies that 10 people will see and also get paid.

While I agree that Indies are better & more original overall, Marvel has gone from simply making Comic Book Films to making ART. Civil War was VERY character driven, more so than your typical comic book or ensemble action flick. The script & direction were excellent, the acting was great (Chadwick Boseman and Tom Holland were amazing show stealers as Black Panther and Spider-Man).
I haven't seen Doctor Strange yet, but I heard that it is well made too.

Anyway, I've been a MASSIVE Brie Larson fan for a few years. She, Marvel, and the fans are ALL WINNERS HERE.

2. To prove that she is not doing it solely for the cash, Brie was once offered a nice amount from a big producer for a role in a film, but she declined it because she didn't like the role at all.

3. Also by doing this, she can do Indies in between, and green light films of HER OWN. Unicorn Store, which will be Brie's FEATURE DIRECTORIAL DEBUT, has started production.

I mean, I agree with most of that. I was saying she could do both so this can only benefit her career and growth.

As for Marvel being trash, I admit they've made some decent stuff. I've seen Dr. Strange and it was good. Civil War was okay. But in the end Marvel movies are like WWE. They dress up a little plot to show some big guys fight. There are no surprises or deep characters. Sometimes they can transcend it, but more often than not, they just make cinamatic "pro" wrestling. Not art.
