I really love that late 70's\80's magic and the whole weirdness and foreshadowing. Would love to see more movies like it. The flaw with the ending isn't that it's bad by itself. It made sense. but I think the way it was cinematically handled was either bad or just really doesn't stand the test of time. It was a deviation from the vibe\style of the entire movie up to that point. I think if they did it in the same not-too-dramatic but disturbing style(like the bridge scene), it would work better IMO. That moment of not knowing, the moment of being unsure, the moment of surprise. The ending isn't about that. it lacks the horror\detective feel. Though maybe that kind of slow-mo thing was popular in those days? either way cool film !!!
