A Girl Named Sooner : Bird scene

I saw this when I was a kid and that bird scene has stuck with me - it's the only thing I remember from the movie.

Same here. It was profoundly disturbing. Going by the date it was made, I must have been sixteen when I saw it, but my emotional reaction led me to believe the movie was older than it is. It hit me like a ton of bricks.
