All in the Family : mikes donation $275

mikes donation $275

that would be $1566.66 today.no wonder archie was pissed.

Re: mikes donation $275

I thought it was $200. Didn't he buy Gloria a coat. At least he did give Arch $150...

Re: mikes donation $275

"When am I gonna see the other fifty here?!"

Re: mikes donation $275

Mike DID write Archie a check for over a $1000 and Archie tore it up...

Re: mikes donation $275

Not one of his smarter moments.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Robert Vaughn. RIP Carrie Fisher. RIP William Christopher. 2016 is the worst!

Re: mikes donation $275

Mike should have given that money for groceries and for those bills. He did a great thing getting Gloria a needed coat. But even though they made that deal about him staying there til he finished school,he was a moocher. Living in someone else's home without paying rent IS being a moocher.

Re: mikes donation $275

Apparently he didn't see it that way. Probably because of their original arrangement.

Re: mikes donation $275

Which was what, Fletch? Remind me.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

To live there rent-free until he finishes school and gets a job, then he'll pay Archie back every nickel with interest - "Every damn nickel!".

Re: mikes donation $275

Great scene. I like when Meathead has a number he owes him, and then Archie comes back with the exact, higher amount. Lol

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

Archie: "You spilled more than that on your shoyt!".

Re: mikes donation $275

Lol. Classic.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

Archie: "You leave out a whole lotta things, like that appendix operation".
Gloria: "I specifically remember you saying you'd pay for that".
Archie: "Only if he didn't live".

Re: mikes donation $275

Lol. Didn't Archie say something like: "You're leaving outt a lotta whatayacall, incrementals there Meathead?"

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

He could've. I haven't got to that one yet. I'm still on season three.

Re: mikes donation $275

The way he says words wrong is my favorite.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

Lol. There's too many to list. Sometimes he bats off several in one sentence.

Re: mikes donation $275

I know, but I love it every time. If, I know which word he actually means.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

When I was a kid a lot of it went over my head - vocabulary-wise as well as the political references.

Re: mikes donation $275

Some of it still does with me.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

Yah, some of the names they belt out are Greek to me.

Re: mikes donation $275

Well, just even old time terms or whatever.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

I'm older than you, so more are probably familiar to me.

Re: mikes donation $275

Probably correct.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

I remember when Nixon gave his resignation, although it was years later before I learned the full story (I never was too interested in politics - Civics class in 8th grade was a real struggle, only because it held no interest for me).

Re: mikes donation $275

Well, politics stuff you learn, or read about, hear about. It's words mostly from then that sometimes when he says it wrong, I don't know which word he actually means, so I don't get why it's funny.

RIP Gene Wilder. RIP Barbara Hale. You were great in Perry Mason. RIP William Christopher.

Re: mikes donation $275

Yah, same here, but as you get older you pick things up and say to yourself "So that's what he meant".
