Doogie Howser, M.D. : favorite character?

favorite character?

I used to watch Doogie growing up. I wasn't a huge fan but I did like it. Although, I think the character of Vinnie Delpino was AWESOME! I really liked him. What does everyone else think?

Re: favorite character?

Vinnie was my favorite character. :) I liked how he always was getting Doogie in trouble.

Re: favorite character?

I don't really have a favorite "main" character because they were all great, but I did think the orderly at the front counter was slick!

Re: favorite character?

Of course, now, Vinnie gets to supply Doogie with plenty of work as a member of the Sopranos

Re: favorite character?

Since I had crush on NPH, I'd say Doogie. But without Vinnie the show wouldn't have been funny at all.

Re: favorite character?

Max Casella as Vinnie completely pwned that show. I was more interested in watching him than Neil Patrick Harris as Doogie.

Also, seeing Max in shows like Doogie Howser and movies like Newsies...this is a fine example of why this man needs to get MORE leading roles.

Re: favorite character?

Vinnie.

Of course, my opinion could be biased, considering how much of a fan I am of Newsies. But it's also because Max plays the character so well; Vinnie is the main comedic relief to the show.

I am almost in the same boat as you! , but truth betold I was a neil patric harris fan, before I was a max casella fan. I love them both- in a strictly platonic way... well maybe... okay I love max- Even if i didnt though, Vinnies character just made me want to hug him! as good as doogie is/was, he had the tendancy to forget vinnie's friendship sometimes.

Re: favorite character?

Vinnie rocks my socks! He's hilarious and Italian, just what I like! And he's the right height, only probably a half an inch taller hopefully. But Vinnie pulled the whole show together.

doogie's babysitter

Re: favorite character?

Vinnie-- he was EXTREMELY amusing... :D and I actually thought he was a better person overall than Doogie because he was much more open-minded, (I always thought Doogie was a bit of a snob) and even though he was a little bit of an oppurtunist, (wEEELL, more than a little bit) you could tell Doogie really mattered to him because he was doing good things for him a lot.

Re: favorite character?

Vinnie was the most annoying character on the show. He was needed, but I still disliked him. He just seemed to try too hard to be cool and he definitely was not. Best character was Nurse Spalding. She was so average looking yet so sexy.

Re: favorite character?

Doogie pretty much sums it up.

Re: favorite character?

VINNIE! And Janine. Basically because they were both in Blood Drips Heavily on Newsies Square and they have potty mouths.

Re: favorite character?

vinnie or mrs' howser (just cuz she's a total milf and she's such an awesome mom). me and my friend have an on going joke that she's the vinnie to my doogie (because i'm slightly smarter than her, hah)

Re: favorite character?

Max Casella was pure charm in this and created a character that you always wanted as a friend. Shame you don't see more of him today.

Try not to take life too seriously, no one gets out alive.

Re: favorite character?

Doogie, although they came close to slaughtering his character in the final season :/ Vinnie is great in doses & Doogie's parents were great. I also had a soft spot for Dr Canfield. He had such a cute little face when he was vulnerable

Re: favorite character?

Vinnie Indeed!! I love my funny little Vinnie cutie pie!

Re: favorite character?

I'd go with Raymond Alexander. The hold up episode and the episode where he gets hired on at the hospital are two of my favorite of the series. When the older doctor puts him in his place, and he says he'll move the corpse because "it's my job". Powerful stuff.

Re: favorite character?

work: curley

home: Vinnie!

and I nearly lost it when I saw Vinnie in the sopranos!

Reading the paper can really be depressing. Mr. Dithers fired Dagwood again.

Re: favorite character?

Vinnie.

Re: favorite character?

Doogie was the best, and my favorite character.
