Terminator 2: Judgment Day : Who remembers seeing this movie in theaters when it first came out?

Who remembers seeing this movie in theaters when it first came out?

Were the audiences packed? Did they go crazy over memorable scenes (i.e. The T-800 reaching John first, and the scene where he says "Hasta La Vista, Baby")? Did they applaud incredibly loudly during the ending?

Re: Who remembers seeing this movie in theaters when it first came out?

Audience was packed and there was no clapping.

Audience definitely was packed when I saw it opening weekend(Sat afternoon). No clapping at the end. I think early in the film the audience was wary about going all in with the characters and their dramatic/comedic lines. However, by the middle of the flick with all the suspense, action, and Arnold on a motorcycle carrying a shotgun..we were ALL IN!

Shall we play a game?

Best time in the movie theater ever for me.

Saw this twice on opening weekend here in LA. Audiences clap for anything good. Now, 26 years later, i still have the same one and only issue: no way John Connor started out a whining little *beep* like Ed Furlong. Always was and always will be the worst casting choice.
