Other people not named Dag Hammarskjold are offended that you are not giving them any shoutouts. Please be more inclusive.

😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 🤨 Let's go, Brandon! 🤨 Try that in a small town.

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

Park Avenue cabbage rolls.

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

I love cabbage rolls! I need a really good recipe for them. I used to have one, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Rats!

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

I buy cabbage rolls at Publix deli, the brand is Park Avenue (they also make stuffed green peppers), there are 4 large cabbage rolls per container and they are very good. I tried making cabbage rolls, it was a lot of work, the meat fell apart and WKD did not like them - as you know from the old boards, I'm not a great cook.

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

I used to have a recipe that utilized barley instead of rice. My husband can tolerate barley with his diabetes, but not rice for some reason. It was great as filling for cabbage rolls or stuffed green peppers. The cabbage rolls were cooked in a sort of sweet/sour tomato sauce in a slow cooker. They are massive amounts of work for someone with a bad back and fibro. I could take it sitting down, I suppose, but first I NEED THAT RECIPE!!!

Everyone on Twitter is saying "This is the way" when some politician does something they like. Once I got a "This is the way." I thought it was hilarious!

PS: Bandit says "Hi!"

PPS: I think the avatar makes me look like Judy Garland, but all the others I tried looked double weird. It expands things sideways which made some of the ones I tried look really distorted.

"This is the way" is a quote from the Mandalorian, if you remember, I'm a big Star Wars fan.

"This is the way"

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

Ah. I watched the first Star Wars three times with a guy who was obviously in love with it. The first one was cool. When that ship slowly filled the screen we scrunched down in our seats and stopped eating our popcorn. I knew movies had changed forever in that moment.

But then Alec Guinness died, and they did some early CGI to create another Obi Wan, and I thought that was a little tacky. Eventually that was walked back, but it sorta spoiled it for me, and I never watched another one. The series is enough a part of pop culture that I know what Jabba the Hut is, for example, but I'm not up on all the particulars.

On Twitter, "This is the way" is used to denote approval of a policy or opinion – everything from whether to put pineapple on pizza to whether to go to war over Ukraine. Is that the way it was used in Mandalorian?

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

In the TV show The Mandalorian, "This is the way" refers to the Mandalorian creed and code that Mandalorians live their life by.
(I'm also a big Harry Potter fan and Indiana Jones fan, these films really take my mind off things)

White bread, sprinkled with white sugar and drowned in milk. Manna from Heaven.

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

That sounds kind of good. I might be tempted to put in a little vanilla extract. Vanilla is divine.

That's the second time in two posts I have used the word vanilla.

Pussy.

And let me tell you, that’s the last time I go to an authentic Chinese food restaurant!

Similarly, I ate a cockatoo.

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

Samyang HOT ChiCken Flavor Ramen (stir fried)(along with frozen mixed stir-fry vegetables and chopped up beef hot dogs); it was about as spicy as I can handle. I now fear the six packs of "2x Spicy" HOT Chicken ramen that are waiting in the cupboard.

Oh? Taking a break from stinky feet obsession?

If I get pulled over, it better be a gay policeman riding on a unicorn.

Yeah kinda, it hurt when warrenpeace and zoltoy called me deranged

A stinky foot fetish? Deranged?

That's hilarious. But you know having a thing for stinky feet s nothing to be ashamed of. There have got to be support groups for people like you.

I'm just teasing you! As if I have room to talk. I loooove smelling a man's ripe armpits. It is incredibly arousing. And in the greater scheme of things, this is fairly benign stuff. I talk big sometimes, but I am fairly vanilla with my sexual tastes, with a few kinks thrown in for good measure. The best sex is in the imagination and that is no lie.

Sadly a simple bacon roll, my one treat this week as I'm on a diet to lose two years of lockdown weight gain.

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

The best way to cook salmon is using Sous Vide. I then smothered it in hollandaise. I can't believe I've been married almost 20 years and never cooked hollandaise for my husband. It was love at first bite!

Re: What was the best thing you ate this past week?

The best thing I've eaten this past week is what I am eating right now and that is black cherry sorbet. It is sublime. Incredibly refreshing. In college me and my friend stayed up all night making raspberry sorbet for one of her "famous dinner parties". Surprisingly, it turned out great, though if I recall it took about three efforts to get the right consistency.

But my friend really was a near great cook. One time we were watching an episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Sue Ann Nivens makes dinner for six and what she makes is Veal Prince Orloff. My friend had the Julia Child cookbook and it had a recipe for Turkey Orloff and so we made it and it was absolutely delicious. One of the three best meals I have ever had. But quite complicated. It took over four hours to make, but believe me, it's worth it!
