I love 'Being Human', but would you really call it sci-fi? It's hard to put a label on a TV show like this one. There were horrific moments and a lot of funny ones, but the main feeling it leaves me with is compassion, - and pleasure in the affection that those 'monsters' have for each other. I prefer the first couple of seasons. Oh! I'm talking about the British version of the show, btw.

I think you can make a case for that scifi/horror/supernatural comedy crossover. Haven falls in that category too.

There was a brilliant show called 'Invasion' that only lasted one season. Shaun Cassidy was the creator of it. That reminds me of another of his brilliant shows. 'American Gothic". Great stuff!

Did you watch 'Surface' or 'Threshold'? 'Threshold' was the BETTER of the two.
