Sex and the City : What an odd question for Samantha to ask about organic vegetables.

What an odd question for Samantha to ask about organic vegetables.

In "The Real Me," the episode where Samantha is getting nudes pictures taken, she's worried about her figure and looking her best. So she asks the waitress if the vegetables on the veggie plate were organic. Why would she care about the vegetables being organic if she were just worried about her weight and figure? Organic and non-organic have the same amount of calorie and fat content. It's just non organic is sprayed with pesticides and preservatives, which are generally not healthy for you in the long run, but they don't cause weight gain.

Suprised Samantha does not know that.

What current studies show that non organic is less healthy "in the long run" because it sounds like you fell for some b.s. marketing.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

Non organic are sprayed with pesticides and preservatives, which are proven to cause cancer in the long run. Organic food is not sprayed with any preservatives or pesticides. This is why organic produce tends to rot quicker, because it isn't sprayed with any preservatives.

But that was kind of beside the point from my question.

I figured that she just wanted the best despite the fact that it would have not made a difference.

I agree, it was something she was very serious about- looking good.
