Richard E. Grant : Two characters he should play

Two characters he should play

1. Sherlock Holmes
He has that eccentric darkness, or dark eccentricity, about him.

2. Dracula
He is perfect looks-wise, as Dracula in the book is described as tall and aristocratic.

Re: Two characters he should play

Totally agree. He'd be perfect for both roles.

Re: Two characters he should play

He is a good choice for Holmes and has played him once in 'The Other Side'.

"Dracula

well I can imagine him as a Hammere-esque Dracula; however in the book Dracula is an old man with white-hair and a mustache (though later grey=haired with beard) much like Christopher Lee's non-Hammer Dracula roles in the film by Jess Franco and the fantastic Swedish Dracula documentary from the 1970s.

Re: Two characters he should play

SHERLOCK HOLMES: I agree because Richard Grant is now older and looks the type.

DRACULA: No. I don't see Richard Grant sporting fangs. He'd have to wear so
much garish makeup to pull it off that he wouldn't be recognizable.

SOLOMON KANE: Richard Grant is actually now too old to play this character but
take a look at his Giles Redferne witchhunter character in the
1989 WARLOCK. Back then Richard Grant would have made an
excellent religious witchhunter.

MILITARY OFFICER: Richard Grant could play a high-ranking British military
officer, from full colonel to major general.

Re: Two characters he should play

I agree that he would make a good Sherlock Holmes.

He was miscast as sir Percy in The Scarlet Pimpernel TV series though. He would have made a better Chauvelin.
