This one scene of Beverly Hillbillies cracks me up.

Granny was taking Elly May a bath in the kitchen in a tub, not knowing that she had a nice luxurious bathtub upstairs in her house. She was pouring in water from their own pool that she thought was a pond.

Miss Hathaway walks in (she's the secretary of the banker who keeps their money who's hired to help them out) and sees Ellly May in the bathtub, appalled. She says to Granny:

"You know you don't have to do this, right!"

Granny says: "I don't know about you rich Beverly Hill folk, but 'round where I come from, we take baths!"

Then Granny uses her homemade Li Soap to wash Elly's back.

Miss Hathaway: "What are you doing! Li Soap will ruin her delicate skin!"

Granny: "Nonsense! I'e been using Li Soap since I was a baby and my skin's as beautiful as ever!"

Miss Hathaway feels Granny's skin: "It's like sandpaper and leather!"

Granny: "Like I said, beautiful as ever!"

I also like the one where a bunch of banks in town are having a shooting competition. Mr. Drysdale asks Jed Clampett to join his team, and he wins ever round since he's an expert with guns. The other banks get suspicious and accuse Mr. Drysdale of cheating, and kick Jed out. They say they'll pick his teammate: they see Granny, and pick her, seeing as she's a frail old lady. Then Granny ends up being a pro-shooter and wins.

I add that show to the short list of comedic properties that have aged well. The Garden Party is one of my favorite episodes. The Clampetts attempt to help Mrs Drysdale impress all her guests for her dull garden party, and the elite of Beverly Hills ditch her and all end up at the Clampett's house having a blast.
