London Has Fallen : The SAS

The SAS

What really pi*ssed me off is that the SAS were a total shambles.. In the movie they walk in the open and get shot? I don't think so. The SAS would of told banning to jog on and the SAS would of stormed that building in minutes with zero casualties..

Re: The SAS

Oh please, a well trained Brownie troop could take down the SAS.

;)

Re: The SAS

Ok, now THAT'S funny!

Re: The SAS

Hmm, Brownies could take the SAS, and you gave "Rookie of the Year" a mark of 7. Just two fact's that go to show you have no clue about what you're talking about. 😲

Re: The SAS

Those guys in multi-cam were Delta Force operators, while the one in dark clothing were SAS.

Re: The SAS

What's also funny is that the American walks into the open in the exact same spots where the SAS guys were getting mown down and doesn't get shot.. because he's such a badass apparently.

Re: The SAS

Agreed. Kind of hilarious how bad they were but they were still better than the secret service in the first film. Easy way to spot a bad guy hidden in the secret service or London police? Only the good guys are still shooting pistols as grenade launchers and assault rifles are being fired.

Re: The SAS

SAS blokes usually fire several times their own weight in ammo on training every year yet do not seem to be able to hit anything.

Re: The SAS

Was that the SAS?

I thought it was the Delta force sent in to the MI6 safe house that finally caught up with them?

Re: The SAS

Shrug it off. The secret service did the same thing in the first "movie". I made it through 5 minutes of this one including fast forward.

A Navy Seal was in heaven when someone threw him down and restrained his hands and feet. He asked Saint Peter "Was that an SAS agent?" Saint Peter replied "Nah, that was God he wishes he was an SAS agent".

Re: The SAS

You've been watching too much tv, mate... Sure, they're one of, if not the best special forces units in the world. But they are not super-human. SAS operators do get shot from time to time. They're not invincible.

As for the movie. It wouldn't be very fun if the last 15 minutes featured some one we've known about for 3 minutes kick ass instead of the main character.

Re: The SAS

True, but it would have made more sense not having the SAS in there for the last action scene, but just some kind of loyal cops group of sorts, that was trying to clear the streets from the terrorist cops. Would have given the story some more depth as well. I think. Because cops are probably as capable as they made those SAS-ers look...

I was also very surprised that the SAS would storm into the open like that.

Re: The SAS

Sure, I agree. But the story didn't really need to have more depth. It's not supposed to be a deep story, it's just a fun, balls-to-the-walls action flick. And I thought it delivered on that superbly.

As for storming out in the open. They didn't have much choice. Also, most of the SAS-troopers made it through. It's not like Banning was the only one who made it.

As for the scene itself. It was awesome. The one continuous shot of them storming the alley was beautiful.
