Stupid moron. Humanity can’t always change or control things. We may never find a vaccine that works or a treatment. Or even if we do now we realize how easy this thing was to spread from our old way of living.
If there isn’t the willingness from people to risk their lives then there may not be any more public gatherings. Did you think all this technology was for pleasure? We may have been on our way to a new world a decade ago without even knowing. Online may be our only way of socializing, working, studying etc.
Don’t be so quick to say never. Little things can cause monumental changes and people may never look back to how things were done before.

i think we will have large crowds again. if things start returning back to normal next month I actually think people will kind of forget this ever happened, because it hasn't gone on for that long. especially if the death toll ends up not being much worse than a bad flu season. the death toll will be lower because of the drastic measures we took but people will just compare it to a flu season without drastic measures anyways and go on with their life.

It's a worst-case scenario. Too much money will be missed out on if people aren't allowed to go to concerts, sporting events, theme parks, movie theaters, or festivals.

I took on skateboarding. I'm not really any good at it, I just like doing it because I won't look like such a freak wearing my helmet all day long.

I spent about $150 on my rollerblades, seems like the most expensive normal kind though apparently not for beginners as the wheels are slippery.
I've never skateboarded or surfed, though we lived by the beach when I was a kid.
I do wear the basic gear: helmet, wrist guards, elbow guards, and knee guards, seems like enough. I sometimes have to make myself fall on the grass.
I haven't done it in over half my life maybe … but I was able to do it pretty well but with very much efforts after only 3 times, and I could pretty much do it the 1st time. I could only go down one road, though.

But money will be lost regardless. If people start making concerts, opening restaurants, opening airlines again people might just not show up. There may never be a demand for those things again regardless of how bored or depressed we are. Business small and big will still collapse and the alternative will be to cater to a new way of living practicing social distancing. Could happen.

they had to shut everything down and make so many rules because people refused to stop gathering and thought the risk was worth it. i think there will still be plenty of people willing to go to large gatherings. and we might get lucky and this turns out to be something that people become immune to once they catch it so eventually it wont be such a problem.

Well we certainly see that AIDS didn't stop people from having sex, so why would this? It will be business as usual in a year, though you'll see a lot of white people wearing masks. People will be more careful for awhile but life goes on.
