Premiere problem with rendering h264 file

Hey guys, I am trying to export my film, it's almost 80 minutes. It's mp4 file exported to h264. Few times I did it just fine, but recently I get message (after five hours of exporting) that I need to clean some space, even if I have enough. I've tried to export it to different external hard discs and different partitions, and all I can do is to export film into 30 minute sequences with no problem. I've tried to open new project, import those files and continue with edits, but after exporting, file is not 18gb, its 10 or 8 or 6 and it doesn't work... Anyone had similar problems?

Re: Premiere problem with rendering h264 file

FAT32 partitions don't allow files over 4 gigs. USB drives often come formatted with FAT32 by default.

Check the default file locations and make they're on drives with enough free space and an appropriate file system. And, maybe it goes without saying, suitably located on different hard drives so you aren't simultaneously reading and writing to the same physical drive.

Re: Premiere problem with rendering h264 file

this might not help but...

"mp4box -fps 23.976 -add filenamehere.h264#video:name=Video -new output.mp4" (without the ")

because when i am making video files with StaxRip (like converting a movie in HD to SD once in a while) i noticed once in a while it will have a .h264 extension (like for whatever reason the StaxRip program fails to put the encoded video file back into a .mp4 container) and i got to get it back into a .mp4 container etc for it to play and that worked for me in my particular case by manually typing that command it puts the .h264 file back into a .mp4 video file i can play.

depending on frame rate of your video you may need to adjust that (the 23.976 thing) i would guess.

p.s. http://www.videohelp.com/software/mp4box ; that should have the mp4box.exe in there which you can run from command prompt. just have the .h264 video file in the same directory as that mp4box.exe and where it says output.mp4 change that to whatever you want to name the file or you leave leave it as output if you want as your fixed file will be named output.mp4
