The Book of Boba Fett : Patton Oswalt predicted the Boba Fett opening scene in 2013

Patton Oswalt predicted the Boba Fett opening scene in 2013

From a scene he ad-libbed in Parks and Recreation:

"Pan down from the twin suns of Tatooine. We are now close on the mouth of the Sarlacc pit. After a beat, the gloved, Mandalorian armor gauntlet of Boba Fett grabs onto the sand outside the Sarlacc pit and the feared bounty hunter pulls himself from the maw of the sand beast. And we realized that he survived his fall during the battle at Jabba's palace ship."

This is from Marvel's Star Wars comic book range in 1983:

This is from Topps Star Wars Galaxy 3 in 1995:

And I can't quite find it to hand but around 2005 or so there was a silly comic book story which had Boba escape the Sarlacc pit only to meet Jar Jar Binks who, through a whoopsie moment, put him back in again.

It's a fairly common piece of fan fiction which is now a reality

Ding Dong! 🤡🌎

In the comic they have him escape in the way I thought would happen. I think he is using his rocket pack instead of being burped out. Patton Oswalt didn't quite get it correct either because he has him exit the mouth while in the show he somehow punched his way through who knows how many feet and tons of sand.

Maybe someone saw that scene. Maybe they made it become true.
