Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones : Paranormal Activity Endings done too much?

Paranormal Activity Endings done too much?

This is a spoiler, obviously, for the series'deadly endings. Out of curiosity, I decided to watch this movie. It's not great in my opinion, but besides the ending and the time travel scenario which I did not like, there was yet again the death of the characters who aren't possessed; the cameramen, the friend, the wife, etc. They always get killed in the end. So it's no shock it happened to Hector. But every time. Isn't it overdone? What other ways could they have ended their endings?
I ask that cause supposedly there's going to be a 5th movie, and if that doesn't neatly wrap up, there will most likely be the characters's death at the end. Personally, I tend to not like it when too many characters die in horror movies, but there you go.
So, thoughts on the constant deaths of the so called heroes at the end? In one of the installments did you call it as going to happen in the end.
I'm sure we all did.
Nobody can survive the demon, but I wish it was possible that someone, the cameraman, could escape the demon and the coven of women. It's so easy to kill them and wrap it up :(

Re: Paranormal Activity Endings done too much?

The films come off as way too much snuff-ish. It's just invicible demon walking around wiping out harmless people. This one at least showed the witches can get the business end of a shotgun

Re: Paranormal Activity Endings done too much?

Wasn't thus the fifth film?

This one actually had the coolest ending in the series. The others just show repetitive slaughter of the protagonists, but here we get Mexican gangsters blowing away witches with shotguns and a magic time-traveling doorway! Yes all the protagonists still either died or got possessed, but at least this time they had fun with it!
