Desperately Seeking Susan : No way baby, the bag is mine, Mrs.Glass gave the bag to me

No way baby, the bag is mine, Mrs.Glass gave the bag to me

I loved that scene when Daisy won't give him the bag...LOL.

I loved it too! ha ha! so funny!

Re: No way baby, the bag is mine, Mrs.Glass gave the bag to me

I loved that scene too. But I never understood what was so great about the bag!
It was just a pink bag from a store.

It was the bag her jacket came in and he knew because of the used jacket but why couldn't he just write down the name? Why did he need the bag so bad.... He did get it, wonder what he paid her for it...

Re: No way baby, the bag is mine, Mrs.Glass gave the bag to me

I wonder if that scene was in the original script?. It just seems so random lol!. Maybe it was improvised?.

Re: No way baby, the bag is mine, Mrs.Glass gave the bag to me

I wondered why he couldn't just have written the name of the store down also, but it was so funny that she wouldn't give the bag up without a major fight, lol. And yes, you KNOW he had to pay her for it. My guess is she got about $25 for it. She probably could have held out for more, but $25 sounds about a reasonable price if he wants the bag that badly.

EMOTICONS ARE BACK! YAY!

Re: No way baby, the bag is mine, Mrs.Glass gave the bag to me

I wondered the same: Why didn't he write it down?
Unless he figured that actually having the bag to show to the shopkeeper would 'prove' something to him, help him remember or convince him that Gary was serious?

If the housekeeper did get $25 for the bag, that was a lot of dough back then!

Sometimes, the funniest scenes in a comedy are little moments like this one.

By the way, I wouldn't be surprised if things got really dirty because of that bag, ha ha.
