Pieces : Needs a Blu-Ray release!

Needs a Blu-Ray release!

This film needs a new HD transfer followed by a release on Blu-Ray. I'd buy it! :-)

Re: Needs a Blu-Ray release!

As long as it's totally uncut!!
And not the R-rated version that has been in circulation.

Re: Needs a Blu-Ray release!

Kind of hard for there to be an "R-rated version" in circulation when there was no "R" rating. "Pieces" was released with no rating and treated by Film Ventures as an "X" - no one under 17 admitted period. And if you think what you're seeing would have gotten an "R" from the MPAA in 1983 without massive cuts, I've got a Boston Bridge in Madrid to sell you.

Re: Needs a Blu-Ray release!

How much for the Boston bridge in Madrid?

Re: Needs a Blu-Ray release!

Re: Needs a Blu-Ray release!

I am excited. I will definitely be getting this one.

Re: Needs a Blu-Ray release!

Their website says it's going to include the 83-minute unrated US theatrical cut and the 86-minute uncensored director's cut in Spanish. My Grindhouse Releasing 2-disc DVD includes an "uncensored" version that runs over 85 minutes. Imdb says the longest version runs 90 minutes, and that the US version runs 89 minutes! So where do the extra minutes come in if this new release is supposed to have an 86-minute uncensored version on it? Sigh.
