Red Dawn : Mr. Mason.

Mr. Mason.

I saw this at the movies when I was 14 or so... I always wondered what happened to Mr.& Mrs. Mason. I wonder how long it took the Russians to find them... I guess he knew they would eventually thru deeds and paperwork if nothong else. Amd thats why he sent his granddaughters with Jed.

Re: Mr. Mason.

Well, if they towed the line, nothing unless they tried to fight back. I don't know though, did the Russians just knock on the doors of people and killed them for no reason?

Re: Mr. Mason.

Well that has been their methods in the past... The mayor. Provided a list of people he knew of who might be troublesome and they were killed..including the surviving families of the wolverines. Also in retaliation for rebel attacks innocent people were rounded up and killed as was shown. Also when the Russian Spetznaz General came there just to stop the wolverines he ordered such things stopped. He said how stupid this was... His example " if a fox kills your chickens do you kill your pig because he saw the fox"? As for " towing the line"??? Does that mean bowing down to your invader and giving up hope for freedom? Iv you dont fight for your own ...if you can that is ..what are you going to do sit back and do nothing? I just always wondered if they were ever caught...two old people living in a small mountain house..

Re: Mr. Mason.

Well, no open, active resistance to the occupying forces, but continue to support the Wolverines in secret.

Re: Mr. Mason.

They had to have been on some kind of list, or feared enough for their safety to give their grandkids away. If they were safe, the girls would have just stayed there. After the demise of the wolverines though, I would imagine the pressure on them would have been less. I like to think they made it through the war and lived. But it's a 50/50 guess.
