Re: Movies/TV, Reading, or Music?

So, you believe musicians watch movies/TV and are supposed to read?

I think musicians, like anyone else, can do whatever it is that brings them happiness and joy.

I was stating that I enjoy all three things you listed. I think they're all fun, plus they utilize different parts of the brain. Fun and healthy, too!

Here is an interesting conversation I made on YouTube the other day.

@Grazia Cavasino I wished I took singing and violin, I did choir and piano. You must be good to know that, though. Not many people know it seems. You can only do so much, though maybe. Whatever keeps singers happy! and not everyone knows, even in musical theater etc. maybe at first. I liked classical music and singing, but I wanted to act for awhile, so I have sung too. It helped a lot even in playing piano when I was young… I guess I could still sing standing up, but I feel it's too late to be happy. Hope others are, though, who started later.

@Christina Ann Joanna Barrett It's NEVER too late to be happy. Read "The Artist'sWay" by Julia Cameron and open yourself a world of opportunities.

@Grazia Cavasino I looked at it… I might know about that. It's a personality type. It's mine. Yes, people like that are prone to mentally ill depression, when that is their true personality type. It seems it gets worse with things like age and rejecting others. I'm doing okay, but some people are out to get me and where I live, if you're wondering. I see they sell a workbook. I might actually buy what you say if it has a personality test with personality types in it. I collect them all. I read some of the book of the singer Renee Fleming when I was a singing student in college. I also did piano. Not much hope technically that the book can do all the fixing for. I think it's something like grueling practice, and I used to be in. Things like performing help my nerves, but it's "the work" that counts, and singing isn't hard to get by apparently. It's easy to remember singing, too. You know, this video, which I watched for the music just now, features the instrumentalists on the stage, which is a treat yet unfortunately also considered a pompous, out-of-place statement in some ways of thinking. Musicians are getting older, and we still flock to them. I do sing a little, that I can. What do you like about this video? They took down the good stuff if you're looking for the singing. Sunhae Im seems like the best, still, but only sometimes and not much in it in what I'm specifically imagining. She has a good sense of being rhythmic for one theme.

@Grazia Cavasino Anyway, I guess you don't want to be interested in this video or people in it in your answers to me about a book? Do you want to tell people here about it more? It sounds like you haven't read it because you don't have much to say about it, like you think it might be a spoiler though. It sounds like you wish you wrote that book form the way you say it. Maybe, you are interested but guess I wasn't. Some of this is true.

They're giving you too many things too do. They don't get it.

Re: Movies/TV, Reading, or Music?

Two out of three. Not much into reading anymore, sadly.
