Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

I was going to put Masque of the Red Death, but you beat me to it.

I was lucky enough to get to see it a few weeks on the big screen. Gorgeous movie!

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

Such irony with Sophie. She has started this thread because of the masquerade she constantly puts up with all her smelly socks.

Was it in your home town Mr. H?

Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

Yep, Franklin, Indiana.

Though I am up in Chicago for a nice long weekend!

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

Nice to have the opportunity to view classic films as they were meant to be seen.

Anything on at Music Box?

I would see Licorice Pizza in 70mm, (blow up), but it is sold out. Rocky Horror I see is on Sat night at 2215hrs.

Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

oh nice! Corman adapting Poe starring Price usually add up to great movies. i think my favourite of those is The Pit and the Pendulum.

suck it.

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

I don't recall any dancing in Eyes Wide Shut. It's not a masquerade ball unless there is dancing.

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

isn't fucking a form of dancing tho? also, a ball does not necessarily have to include dancing imo, but i could be wrong. i've never been to a ball myself before. u?

suck it.

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

Wrong.
but i could be wrong

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

I could put on an event where I ask the attendees to wear masked costumes without dancing and still call it a "masquerade ball" and therefore that is what it is.

Of course I may get an asshole like you, (Hey, you choose that name) who will make a stink about it but it would be what it is and there would be nothing you can do to change it because you are just a newsman's asshole.

So there.

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

Because you could say it is wouldn't make it one. It would just be some ignorant, half-baked version of one.

You love for people to prove things to you, so here is what you seek, dumbass.
A masquerade ball (or bal masqué) is an event in which many participants attend in costume wearing a mask. (Compare the word "masque"—a formal written and sung court pageant.) Less formal "costume parties" may be a descendant of this tradition. A masquerade ball usually encompasses music and dancing. These nighttime events are used for entertainment and celebrations.[1] ~Wikipedia

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

Note the word "usually" there you asshole which means that it may not have music and dancing so therefore it would still be thought of a masquerade ball.

The only things you are good at is being a vessel for shit leaving Anderson and receiving dick.
Stick to that.

"Please vote to preserve the unique character of Warren…" - Robert Duvall

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

"Usually" in this case means 99.9999% of the time.

It's up to you to find proof that masquerade balls exist where there is no dancing.

Otherwise, I'm right and you're wrong and you lose. Again.

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

There is already proof.
Eyes Wide Shut

Otherwise it might be hard to find other proof since not everything that happens in life all gets put onto the net.

I will admit that the majority of MBs does have dancing but it is not a requirement for it to be called a MB to have dancing.

Like here are six tips for hosting one and while dancing is mentioned it does not make it a priority or say it has to happen in order to call it a MB.

6. Enhance the Revelry: Masquerade balls automatically create an air of mystery and secrecy, so consider playing a murder mystery game where guests role play and have to figure out who the killer is. Other ideas include engaging in a rousing game of charades or clearing a space for a ballroom floor where everyone can learn the waltz. You could also tell everyone ahead of time to try to remain anonymous so guests will be guessing who is who until the big reveal at midnight where everyone must unmask themselves.

LOL at how desperate you look with your reaching.

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

As I pointed out before, there is no dancing in Eyes Wide Shut, so it is not an example of a film with a masquerade ball.
or say it has to happen in order to call it a MB.
Anyone can call anything a masquerade ball, but if there is no music and dancing, it's not a ball.

By your reasoning, if there was dancing, but no masks, it could still be called a masquerade ball.

Feel free to continue your ridiculous angry nonsense if you wish, but the more you insist on doing so, you only look more ridiculous and angry.

I'm clearly not desperate, but you are. Why, I can't imagine. Do you like fighting losing battles?

Re: Movies that feature masquerade balls and parades

In this case anyone can call it whatever they want to and there is no right or wrong.
You wanna go ahead and call it a MB with or without dancing?
Whatever.
Who cares.

Butt you are a close minded anal retentive asshole.

I'll be sure to let Anderson know that he should use the jumbo size butt plug.
That should loosen you up a bit.

Unless you count when you were trying to redefine the meaning of 'masquerade ball.'

You were making a joke of yourself.

There.
That should settle that.

You can sit here claiming there wasn't one all day long while those of us who are not narrow minded morons like you and have open minds will say there was.

Such as those who uploaded vids to YT and call it a Masked Ball and there is nothing at all you can do to change that.

Pay no attention to that asshole Sophie.

M. Balls usually have some dancing which means they can also not have dancing and still be called M. Balls.
