They're away seeing their great-grandmother until New Year. We had Christmas lunch on Christmas Eve and just went for a walk today, we popped in to feed their Axolotl!

"In spirit" I went to midnight mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa in South Boston. As a child in the seventies and early eighties, I went to midnight mass there nearly every year. I usually stood in the back of the church because there were no seats available unless you got there an hour early. For one night of the year at least that church really packed in the crowds of Polish Americans and newly arrived Poles from the old country. Standing beside me were Polish guys - young, old and in between- wearing red and white "Solidarity" pins on their jackets and reeking of alcohol. I can still smell them even now! Those were the "good old days". I wonder what became of those guys. Some of them probably moved back to Poland after the fall of Communism.

Nope. I prefer to go to church when no one's there lol.
I don't believe in any of it, but out of tradition, because my dad's grandparents are buried there, we go to St. Michael's every year, and light a candle and stuff.
