Meet the Parents : Lie Detector Scene

Lie Detector Scene

What are the first 2 questions Greg asks Jack during the Lie Detector scene.

Re: Lie Detector Scene

I'm not sure but I think one was about his name, and the other one I'm sure it was if he had come to his house by plane.

Re: Lie Detector Scene

I'm pretty sure he only asked him something like 4 question - if he arrived by plane, what he had for dinner, if it was undercooked, and then if he's ever watched a Porno. Ben Stiller also says that he asked him if they were living together, but I don't think we actually SAW him ask this.

Re: Lie Detector Scene

"Did you arrive on an airplane?"

"Did we have roast beef for dinner?"

"Was it undercooked?" Greg starts freaking and Jack says, "I'm just joking, calm down, the needles are jumping."

"Have you ever watched p0rnographic videos?" Greg flattens his fist and says, "No."

Then there's another implied question that he asks if him and Pam are sleeping together and Greg tells Pam he yanked off the clips when her Mom walked in.

My honest to God answers (even in 2000, watched it in 01 and was still blown away):

Yes.
Yes.
Yes, but still good.
Yes.

So what if the roast beef was undercooked. Food happens all the time and beef is completely fine to undercook (although I love medium rare and don't even mind towards the rare side if it's a good cut of beef, chicken obviously I would immediately say something).

As for p0rn... who the F cares? If you're a grown man and haven't seen p0rn or looked at a magazine, etc. of naked women... I don't know what to say. Windows 98 was well in place before the movie and that brought very streamlined Internet, HBO was showing softcore stuff 24/7, etc. Jesus, my friends and I used to sneak over to his Grandparents place when they were away and watch late night HBO at like 13 years of age.

Even though he didn't answer the sleeping with the daughter question would be a toughie. Now 16 years later it'd be no big deal since women are all progressive and 'independent' these days (many anyway), but back in 2000 that might be a more difficult one to answer, especially if they hadn't been dating super long.
