Just realised something about the new BC [no trolling]

Do you remember Huntress?

She wanted revenge against her father for killing her husband.

She killed many villains and at some point threatened innocents but in the end she got her revenge.

Her attitude was what made her unsuitable for the team and that is why Oliver became her enemy and later on when she got her revenge sent her to prison.

And here we have the new Black Canary:

She wanted revenge against a criminal who killed her partner [who was also her lover].

She killed many henchmen to get to him.

When she had the chance for revenge she took it.

Do you see the similarities here??? The new Black Canary is 90% a copy of Huntress. The only difference [besides the combat skills] is the fact that Oliver wanted her on his team before her revenge was extracted and welcomed her with open arms even after she extracted her revenge. The HYPOCRICY LEVEL IS OVER 9000! This show has fallen so much!

Re: Just realised something about the new BC [no trolling]

That's what happens when you don't have a clear plan and you just come up with crap on the fly.

And really, Oliver's hypocrisy over who is an irredeemable killer and who's not is a flat out joke. He and Wild Dog kill thugs all the time, but God forbid anyone else does.

On the surface, Helena and Dinah seem the scene, but if you really examine their storylines closely you'll see they are quiet different.

Helena crossed a line when she murdered innocent Federal marshals in a bid to kill her father. Then later, she held several innocents hostage at a courthouse (and, unless I remember things totally wrongly, at least one cop was killed following that incident).

Dinah on the other hand, only killed criminals. That too, we honestly don't know how many criminals she actually killed. We've seen her kill two criminals on screen - Sonus and one of his henchman, and she killed the henchman possibly by accident. We don't even know if she killed any other criminals than those two over the past three years. She might easily have a minuscule bodycount compared to Oliver and even Diggle.

Plus, Dinah was a cop, and someone Captain Singh vouched for. In a sense, she's actually quiet similar to Diggle - a professional law enforcer/soldier who flirted with morally questionable actions following a personal tragedy, but fundamentally remained a good person.

I remember the fact that Helena killed innocents.

However. Oliver marked her as an enemy and threat to the innocent long before she killed any non criminals. And Dinah has been chasing her nemesis for years. There is no way she hasnt killed a large number of criminals.

Yet Helena is immediately put to prison after she gets her revenge while Dinah gets a pat in the back and an invitation to join. You say she is like Diggle. The Diggle that i respected and admired in seasons 1 and 2 was nothing like Dinah. That Diggle knew where the line between justice and crime lied. The fact that they butchered the character so much still pisses me off!!!!

She is a good person...so what? A criminal is still criminal. Something that Oliver realised at a time. But he forgot after the first half of season 3.

They are redoing S1 with a parody version of S1 Oliver
