I actually liked 2010(the year we make contact)
I think modern sci-fi/alien flicks need a heavy dose of realism…like REAL scientists in a movie to give it more weight.
That could bore and put off a lot of people though but for some of us it would make it amazing.
Less on sensationalism. More on substance. Just my 2¢.

He was definitely tough on his actors. He put Malcom McDowell through the ringer for A Clockwork Orange. But therein lies his brilliance, his almost maniacal pursuit of complete perfection.

Yes. It's the greatest film ever made, by the greatest director of all time. It changed the way movies are made, and how we perceive them. It's the only film I've ever rated as a perfect 10.
