Died from cancer while still in his thirties.

Yes, this is really me.

I'm sorry. My mom also died from cancer, at age 59.

Far from it. He'll go to he's 85 at least.

Re: Is your dad dead? :(

I suspect most of the posters here have dead parents. You and Kirk and any other idiot who uses dead parents as a plot device on here shouldn't be posting on the internet. There is nothing special or particularly sympathetic about having dead parents. It's just part of life.

Dad died from multiple cancers at 72. Mom followed 14 years later at 82–from a blood clot or embolism.

My latest loss was an uncle at 95. He died Saturday and lived in the same home as his older brother who just turned 99! I'm mainly sorry for him as they were across-the-hall neighbors.

Re: Is your dad dead? :(

I'm sorry. I lost my dad due to his muscles not regrowing because of a combination of diabetes and drinking poison in the Marines during Vietnam. There's a big note out there for anyone affected or their dependents/spouse surviving, so it seems like a big illness causing thing, in North Carolina.

My mom died for breast, bone, and eye cancer in one eye. One medicine made her unable to eat. She got pneumonia and became unable to move in the ER or Hospice. She died after several days.

My dad was 70, my mom was 59.
