I'm always confusing Del Moore with………

.... Max Showalter. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0795289/?ref_=tt_cl_t8

Max Showalter (who also acted under the name Casey Adams) was Jean Peters' husband in NIAGARA, the Reverend in "10", and many others.

Both Del Moore and Max Showalter had similar voices as well as a rather boisterous demeanor.

Anyone else 5b4 notice this similarity?

Just visited IMDb to see if it was Max Showalter. They could be brothers.

I also got the 2 men confused.

Del & Max

Yes, spot on re Del Moore and Max Showalter as to looks, personality and acting styles. Showalter (aka Casey Adams) got a lot of work in television, less so, as I recall, in feature films, and yet I remember Del Moore, face and name, much better from my childhood years. He was a THAT KIND OF Guy actor, tending to play similar characters, seems more of a light comedy actor than a serious dramatic one. Showalter appeared in many serious shows, and in dramatic roles, however I sense an inner goofiness to him that might have served him better on a sitcom than a courtroom drama like Perry Mason. Del Moore appeared in some of the later Dragnet series entries (the 1967-70 show), and he was occasionally (and I suspect) intentionally funny, with his deadpan line readings. He had a comic flair I never saw in Max, whose looks and mannerisms suggested a musical comedy player, yet his actual acting style didn't. Both men tended to play extroverted characters, were not prone to "probe deep" even in serious roles.
