Friday the 13th: Part 2 : I look outside and see the leaves starting to come in

I look outside and see the leaves starting to come in

Feels just like Jason weather outside right now. Out of all the Fridays, part 2 best captures this time of the year…

I agree. I like the overall climate, look and hue of the first 2 F13’s more than the later installations. Part III had a sandy brown look. Part II was a jungle and Part III was a savanna.

Monster, how should I feel? Creatures lie here, looking through the window.

FT13th Part 2 does has a perfect atmosphere going for it. Miner is a better horror director than Cunningham I feel.

III had to have a flat brighter look due to the 3D effects, but still looks fine and is one of my favorites. The first and 4th are quite gritty too.

After that, they started to have a more polished/stylized look about them, which does work for the most part though and the films started to devolve into a parody of the next.

I love the shot panning in on the grocery store after the previous scenes and opening credits. This matches the same feeling of part 2's atmosphere but I agree about the rest of the film's look.

There isn't much one can get wrong in a picturesque idyllic rural setting and the capturing of it on decent film stock.
