Michael J. Fox : I have to say something about his career

I have to say something about his career

For MJF being so well known and highly regarded for his comedic skills and movies, he has starred in two film scenes which most surely rank as being two of the most agonizing, tragic and heartbreaking scenes in all of film. In 'Casualties of War' when he's desperately attempting to help and save the brutalized Vietnamese girl, and in 'Bright Lights, Big City' where he's sitting at his mother's bedside while she withers away in agony. These two scenes are like a one two punch right into your very gut and completely stay in your mind for quite some time. AND the fact that he made these two films one right after ano 238 ther I mean damn, no wonder the poor bastard returned back to comedy movies after doing both those films! Filming two such immensely tragic scenes like that were probably enough to make him want to get away from those types of dramatic film roles for some time.

What do you all think?

Re: I have to say something about his career

Casualties of War is a remind of that viet war event but the rape scene is exaggerated.

bright light big city teaches us to treasure time and life and think what we should be thankful towards.

Really, how so? I mean the young victim in Vietnam was indeed raped by four of the squad members in that platoon in real life, so I don't see how the rape scene in the film could have been that much of an exaggeration to be honest.

the rape scene is exaggerated

Wow, what an idiot. There was nothing exaggerated about it. A young woman cried and screamed out while a guy raped her, and then just laid there in silence while the rest of them took their turn because she was so exhausted and broken from the abuse.

Re: I have to say something about his career

Well, he took COW due to it being directed by Brian Depalma. He couldn't turn that down. As to doing these two dramas in a row, it was just what came up and interested him at the time.

Re: I have to say something about his career

Firstly mjf act for money
Then he act for fame

Now he got Parkinson’s
The movies he acted becomes legend

If those movies not act by fox but somebody else
