Re: I’m in the ER rn
That's wonderful news, rouge! I'm glad to hear that he's back home and resting. Just wondering, was your husband ever diagnosed with COVID at some point in the past?

Re: I’m in the ER rn
He hasn’t been officially diagnosed. There was a period where both of us got sick and he was absolutely debilitated while I was no worse than a cold. It was bizarre. He’s had respiratory issues (frequent bronchitis) before so this could be a result of it. But thankfully pneumonia was ruled out.
Re: I’m in the ER rn
Did they do an EKG as well?

Re: I’m in the ER rn
They did, EKG was normal. Just his heart rate was really high before they started the medicated IV
Re: I’m in the ER rn
All the best with this.
Re: I’m in the ER rn
Thank you. We are good now!

Re: I’m in the ER rn
it hasn’t been ruled out yet. He is well now, thank you
Re: I’m in the ER rn
Did he have the flu?
Re: I’m in the ER rn
He did have flu (or what we think was the flu) really badly last year. He recovered after two weeks then. We don’t think it’s COVID but haven’t officially taken an antibody test

Re: I’m in the ER rn
Just updated! We have to follow up on the cause of the inflammation but the anti-inflammatory meds they prescribed helped a lot

Re: I’m in the ER rn
It actually wasn’t cardiac at all although his heart rate was high. They had to give him a little Xanax because they thought the SOB caused from the inflammation was triggering his sympathetic nervous system. They prescribed a steroid for him.
Thank you!!
Thank you!!
Re: I’m in the ER rn
Hope everything is okay, Rouge!! I bet that night of sleep was pretty restless. You and he will sleep like rocks tonight, once he's back home safe and sound.

That's the vile creature who trolled me about my deceased mother. You can expect too much from it.

I’m in the ER rn
Edit: they are keeping him overnight for observation. He told me to go home so I can at least sleep in a bed (which I’m in now) - thanks for the love y’all!
Edit2: he’s back home now! All is well, he had some chest inflammation, and the tests ruled out edema or any other abnormalities. The inflammation was deep enough to make it hard for him to breathe, especially while asleep (he woke up with a suffocated feeling like he was going to die). They don’t know the cause but since the IV medication and script helped, they recommended he follow up with his PCP for further monitoring.
