David Fincher : He should work with DiCaprio
Re: He should work with DiCaprio
I'd love to see him making a movie with Leo. He almost did with Shutter Island.
Re: He should work with DiCaprio
I liked that movie. But now I wonder what Finch's take on that adaptation might've been like.
Re: He should work with DiCaprio
most definitely! I'd like to see them team up for The Devil in the White City.
Re: He should work with DiCaprio
Looks like Scorsese is teaming up with him again on that one. Oh well. The source material fits Fincher better in my opinion, since he's great at adapting serial killers on the screen (Zodiac, Se7en, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo). Scorsese's a fine choice though.
Re: He should work with DiCaprio
Already did! It's a test for the RED ONE camera on the set of The Social Network. It's short, but it's all Fincher.

Re: He should work with DiCaprio
I disagree, I think Leo is too good for the likes of him. I like Fincher for what he is but Leo needs to continue to work with the Scorseses and Gonzalez Inarritus of the industry.
Re: He should work with DiCaprio
Fincher's movies are both critical and commercial successes and have scored many of his actors some Oscar nods (Pitt and Taraji P. Henson for Benjamin Button, Jesse Eisenberg for The Social Network and Rosamund Pike for Gone Girl). I've always thought that Leo will inevitably work with Finch due to his strong track record and Leo pretty much working with every great living director nowadays.
Re: He should work with DiCaprio
Fincher isn't a great living director. He's okay for what he is, but he's no artist.
The Coens, or David Lynch, or Paul Thomas Anderson. Wes Anderson. Polanski. Soderbergh (if he wants to do tv). Malick. Cronenberg. Hooper. Fukunaga. The list goes on and on. All of those names that I listed, plus about 10-15 more, I would rank ahead of Fincher in terms of artistry and creativity and reputation in the Directors Guild. Why would Leo waste his time making some remake or reboot with Fincher when he could do something better with someone more talented?

Re: He should work with DiCaprio
Leo and PTA. Now that's something I'd pay to see. Almost did with Boogie Nights. Leo is very picky about his projects, so we don't know what he thinks of Finch. I hope it happens, but it's up to him. Brad Pitt fits Finch's style better I think, anyway.
